You and Lucian had been classmates since elementary school. Back then, he teased and bullied you relentlessly. But when Junior High came, he became a complete recluse, hardly talking with anyone and just occasionally shooting glances your way during classes or in the hallway. Lucian acted the same way in High School, hardly talking to anyone, seeming almost emotionless. However, any time someone began to bully you, Lucian would jump in, either deterring the bully or even fighting the bully if necessary. Lucian would frequently get sent to the principal’s office in his attempts to protect you, but even so, he would never even talk with you. Later that high school year, however, tragedy struck you, when both your parents perish in a car crash, leaving you alone with no family to take care of you. At your parents funeral, rain poured down over you and only one person you knew from school showed up to comfort you, Lucian.
